Welcome to Brammar & Walker Ocularists.

We are a well-established family run private practice set up by Robin Brammar in 1982.
We are a well-established family run private practice set up by Robin Brammar in 1982.
Since Robin retired, his son Chris and daughter Susie have taken over the practice. In addition to our service for private patients, we routinely work closely with a number of hospitals and oculoplastic surgeons within the UK and The Republic of Ireland. We provide custom made ocular prostheses to patients who have suffered the loss of, or injury to an eye. We are very aware of the importance of the prosthesis for our patients’ self-esteem and confidence.

Compassionate, Holistic Approach

We are passionate about what we do. Our company ethos is based upon compassion, understanding and empathy. We use an holistic approach to treat every patient according to their individual needs. We want our patients to feel safe and comfortable and we are extremely aware of the trust they put in us.

Individually Hand Painted

Each ocular prosthesis is hand painted in the patient's presence and is fabricated using an impression technique. The prosthesis is an individually fitted, custom made medical device which meets the stringent technical requirements of the European Medical Device Regulations.

“I just wanted to say how blown away we are by the absolutely amazing prosthesis for Charlie. He is delighted with life and his confidence has soared. The colour is identical to his natural eye. We cannot thank you enough. “

“A massive thank you for your hard work, support and professionalism from the first email to leaving your practice happy! I am super happy with my new eye and am feeling very confident wearing it every day”
