Chris Brammar BSc (Hons) Ocularist 

Chris has worked in the healthcare industry for over 20 years. His roles have included auxiliary nursing and support work providing community based care to adults with learning disabilities, challenging behaviour and mental health conditions.

Chris obtained his degree in Biomedical Science at Manchester Metropolitan University before joining his father and sister at Robin Brammar Ocularist Ltd, where having completed technical and clinical training, he now works as an ocularist with his own lists of patients in the UK and in Ireland. He has a keen interest in maintaining and improving the quality of care that is delivered to patients, and advocates an holistic approach. He is a founding member of the Association of British Ocularists and is proactive in the Association's development. Chris attends national and international conferences such as the British Oculoplastic Surgeons Society and the Association of European Ocularists. He is a mentor for trainee ocularists. 
 
 
 

Susie Walker  Ocularist 

Susie has been an Ocularist since 2009 when she joined her father, Robin Brammar, in the family business. 
Susie has been an Ocularist since 2009 when she joined her father in the family business. 
She has patients in both the UK and in Ireland and acts as a mentor to trainee ocularists using her clinical, technical, and theoretical knowledge gained from working as an Ocularist. 
 
Susie is passionate about promoting better patient care and safety and improving professional practice. To help promote this, she is a founder member of the Association of British Ocularists (ABO), founded in 2016. The aim of the organisation is to develop a standardised training programme for new ocularists within the UK and to support existing Ocularists. Susie attends conferences of the Association of European Ocularists and the British Oculoplastic Surgeons Society which enables her to gain knowledge and keep up to date with new developments within the ocular prosthetics and healthcare fields which can then be applied to her role as an Ocularist. 
 
 
 

Julie Brammar Practice Manager 

Julie will usually be the first point of contact for patients and will provide information, advice and support to patients and their families.
